Cosina Voigtlander 15/4.5 Aspherical Heliar with coupled Leica M mount - 06-17-2009, 01:09 PM

This the new M-mount 15mm Aspheric Heliar with rangefinder coupling for use on Leica M bodies. It is replacing my older 15mm which was LTM and not coupled. I find coupling is very nice in let one put the primary point of focus where one wants it rather than just letting the 15mm depth of field take care of it.
On the M8 it has an 84 degree FOV (1.33 sensor) and on the M7 (full 35mm frame) it has a 100 degree feild. Here are just a couple of quick shots. I'm impressed by the lack for purple fringing and low vignetting. It also allows now a 53mm screw in IR Cut filter which the older LTM did not.
