We took a trip through the panhandle this week. This is one of the towns along the way and I had to stop and take a few photos. How many times do you find an antique gas station in this condition (sans the Christmas lights)?
I'll post more but wanted to share this one.

I really like this shot, Roy. Love old gas stations. One thing I'd like to see, though, is more detail in the shadows. If you're using PS, maybe hit it with about 40% shadow adjustment?

Thanks Bruce and John. Here's a 40% hit with the shadow/ highlight filter.

I wish we had something closer like this town. I'll explain later.

Excellent image Roy.

Too bad there isn't a $0.15/gal, 5cent colas sign somewhere. The outer vertical poles/edges seem to have a slight distortion leaning toward center, wide-angle lens ?

Hope you had a chance to eat at the Sportsman Cafe. Good beans and cornbread and a hamburger steak, the size I couldn't believe. Very inexpensive.

Thanks Randy. I agree on the signs. Wide angle it is.
Used the 16-35 II on the whole town so I have lots of distortions. This one was only 27mm.

Guess I missed it Corky. Wasn't really hungry at the time. If I had been I'm sure I would of found it.

The second one is much better, Roy. Now I can see the old-timey soda fridge. :-)
