There is a West Texas Photography Symposium going on the last week of September, 09/25 & 09/26 in Alpine TX. This is their first symposium and they are only selling 250 tickets due to space. But it looks interesting. There will be 14 pros speaking with a lady I know from Houston. Kathy Adams Clark of KAC Productions. Myself and friends from Abilene & the Valley and from the Coastal Bend will be meeting there, attending the symposium and then hitting the Chisos Mountains, the Marfa Lights and then the McDonald Observatory to do some serious but fun photography.....check into it if it's not too late. The website is:

Looks interesting, also, there is a Balloon fest that goes on in Alpine the first or second week of September, check on that....you can look at a calendar thru the chamber of commerce or

Hope folks get some great stuff. I'm looking at getting a few ND filters to shoot the Chisos Mountian Window....can't wait. Haven't been since 2006. Have fun if you go, Big Bend Rocks "pun intended"....sgs
