New Mexico.

Palo Dura Canyon.

I went through Lubbock once. At night. You can see Lubbock for over a 100 miles.

Areas to consider:

Buddy Holly Center- A world class museum containing personal posessions of the famous entertainer. It is also dedicated to all West Texas musicians who have contributed so much to all types of music that we enjoy today. The Center also houses the Lubbock Art Alliance and features many types of art on exhibit.

Ranching Heritage Center- A unique collection of authentic buildings and dwellings from the 1800's to early 1900's which have been restored and preserved. At times, volunteers dress in period garb and give tours. Christmas is the best time to see this!

Texas Tech University- A beautiful campus built in the Spanish Renaissance architectural style. Home of the Texas Tech Red Raiders & Lady Raiders!

Llano Estacado Winery- Internationally award winning wines. Tours and tastings available. Beautiful location for photos.

The Depot District- Many quaint shops, theaters and pubs make it a pleasant place to visit, shop and dine.

The winery's charge a fee (I think it's $100) I've never been out there but I hear it's nice.
Downtown is awesome. There is an endless amount of textures and bright colors.

If they have little kids the park across the street from Target/Ross/Burlington Coat is really nice, can't think of the name.

The place I shot the wedding at tonight was gorgeous! They let you photograph for free out there but only Mon - Fri 8 - 5. Other than that it's $100 an hour. It's called Spirit Ranch. They have Peacocks roaming around, water, bridges, lots of trees, stucco bldgs, barn buildings.

The Park at north loop and University is nice, pretty bridges by the water. Lighting tough though.

You should take them to those sunflower fields you had on your link. That would be cute.

Not sure how I missed this the first time around, but I have a ton of places that you can shoot outside. Dunbar (I think) Park (off of MLK in the canyon so between 4th and 34th street)

the arboretum at university and 43d? really cool area with lots of shaded areas (also really nice blue wall at the baseball field there.

south quaker and 1585 for a few fields that are in crp/waiting for commercial/residential development for a nice grassland feel

Buffalo lakes has a few bridges, etc on the west end of the lake (you will have to pay a fee to get in)

and downtown (the depot district and points north) there are a ton of neat areas to take pics (like the arches in the depot district)

and there is always Lubbock High School

Nevermind -- I'll take care of it myself!

I know this is an old post. But I was just down there. The apple orhord is pretty, it's technically in Idalou. The only thing is all of the apples were long gone because of a freeze.
