West Texas Wind Generators - 08-11-2009, 04:45 PM

I typically hang out in the Sports forum. However, my wife and I recently mad a little jaunt to Carlsbad NM via I-20.

The windmill (field, farm, area???) is huge. Runs about 60 miles either side of I-20 between Abilene and Big Spring.

I'm not a native Texican - this was our first foray west of Ft. Worth. Very scenic country out there - if you're willing to enjoy open vistas and a wide variety of landscapes and ecosystems.

Yes - the sky was that blue and the clouds were that puffy. Beautiful

A couple of quick shots:

Big

Ignore the ugly guy, please.

Then you had a real treat didn't you? You need to catch Marfa and head south to Big Bend the next time. :)
