Has anyone been out there? I'm going camping there for a few days and I have never been there. Any must goto spots out there? I'm really hoping my Sigma 18-50 will be all I need for when I head out.

it has been a couple years but be prepared for no luxuries if you want it you should bring it with you.
Garmin falls is the reason I go out there and will be going out in the spring to shoot the falls again and perhaps the caves they have.
have fun and share images when you get back

Yeah, it's pretty basic out there.. Outdoor shower, cold water only.. I'm going next month.. Sooo.. No shower for me.. Will the 18-50 be enough range to get the falls from where ever the vantage point is?

Gotta get a power inverter for the car to charge batteries and laptop (yeah, I suck), but at least I can do some image editing at night by the camp fire while i'm smoking a nice cigar and drinking some scotch.. :D

Is it possible to smoke in a State Park? And consume alcohol too? I'm amazed.

Have fun.

I've never had issues before.. Of course, my camp fire will cover up any cigar smell. Plus it being a State park, I think the laws of the state would trump local laws.

They do have the whole "public display and consumption" rule, but unless they come over and check the contents of my cup, they have no idea what i'm drinking.

Not sure about the cigar, but public consumption and display of alcohol is prohibited. Get an insulated Buc-ees cup to hide it.

18-50 should give you a nice view of the falls.
