I live near alliance. In Texas terms, we are neighbors. Might be fun to head up for a day trip to turner falls or down to lake Whitney. I'm looking to get out and do some photography.

I am in Burkburnett and usually can be found around Burk or Wichita shooting. I shoot for the Burk paper and freelance for Times Record News and usually can be seen shooting sports.

You believe in country living, eh? When one lives in the suburbs of Wichita Falls, doesn't get much more rural than that.

I'm technically in Keller.

I'm headed to San Antonio tomorrow, will stay there about 4 days. Then headed to a state park near Bastrop, Buescher State Park. Going to spend some time there photographing. Will be back next Friday.

I've got an account at MobileMe Gallery, lots of pics there. Some better, some worse. Most just me and my camera being goofy with family and such. I wish I could control the chronology of the folders, but it seems to splash them on there rather randomly. Point being, I would love to show the progress from earlier to later, as the last 3 years my skill has jumped a bit.

I took my oldest daughter, who graduates this year, to glamour shots. That cured me. I watched what they did and came out scratching my head. Overall, the pics are cute and nice. She got what she wanted, the "glamour shots experience." She wouldn't let me taker her pics. But I told my wife, I have NO desire to pay for that again when I can do everything they did.

I've been off and running since then (about 3 months ago). Purchased more toys, tomorrow is my last day at my current job, switching for more money and more flexible schedule. I'm going to start my photography business next year.

Appreciate the response.

Robert

Metro Photo re-opened under new ownership in their old location on Kell on December 1st. Photo lab is back up and running. The owner re-hired Eileen, Ben and Brandi as well.

Hi folks,

Don't forget about the Wichita Falls Red River Photography Club that meets the second Tuesday of each month in the basement classroom of the Kemp Art Center at 7 p.m. We have members from as far away as Vernon that make it in to the meetings, and some living in San Antonio and Houston that keep us informed about what's going on in those areas.

Currently we are getting ready for a club photo exhibit at the Kemp this summer, so if you want to show off your photos, this is an upcoming opportunity.

Also, we try to do day trips every month. A small group of us did a by-invitation-only shoot at SAFB yesterday, covering the flightline and all the training aircraft in the maintenance training hanger (everything from an A-10 to the C-130).

Monthly meetings are very free-form, consisting of informal photo reviews and a short program. January's is a quickie on "calibrating your metering system" and February's is a two hour workshop on "photographing hummingbirds," with three different photo setups to practice on.

Right now we are building the calendar for the year's schedule, so come on out on the 11th and join us. There will probably be somebody there with your interests, and its a good place to pick up a photo companion.

@Rson, my mother in law lives in Keller, might just be able to hook you up on the chips and sauce sometime.

I didn't know there was a photoclub, I will have to attend the one in February. I'm free most weekends if anyone ever wants to get out and shoot.

I'm moving back to Wichita Falls from Amarillo - I didn't realize there was a photo club - I'll be checking it out when I get back!

I just went "home" to WF to visit family, and Casa Manana was first on my list! Red tacos, chips and queso. Mmmmmmmm

Next day, I went to Branding Iron...
