I love Lubbock!!! But the reference to God's country, is TEXAS, not just Lubbock.

Compare Lubbock to Clovis, NM. Yeah.... rear view mirror.....

We were just there teaching/sharing at their PPA Guild meeting. Roughly 45 people there, which I hear was a good turn out. GREAT group of people so try and hook up with them.

Chris Duncan is the president this year, super good people (him and his wife) and loves to share.

FYI: My cousin is Texas Tech's Orig. Red Raider - the one who invented the entire Mask Raider "Joe Kirk Fulton" While Joe does not live there his son Kyle does and is a SUPER amazing man (not a photographer, but good people non the less)!

My family owned the old tire store downtown Lubbock in the 40's and funny enough is still a tire store today under a new name (things don't change much there huh) :)

I used to make the road trip to Lubbock not infrequently. My son was at Tech and graduated last year. I could go again if there is a meet up. It's not that bad a drive from here. I could marvel at all the new windmills along the way. I know there are some others on this forum from around that area.

I'm learning my way around town after being here almost a year; I need to spend more time over on the east side of town though -- I recently "discovered" Canyon Lakes.

I've enrolled in Tech, and I'm actually a student there know (who would have thought!) Loving life in Lubbock.

I've met a couple of local photogs here, hopefully I'll find more! I've hit the First Friday Art Trail a few times - good times.
