Hmm...well that still pretty wide open. Are you looking to do landscapes, portraits, photojournalism, nature, macro, or studio?

Would there be anyone in SA willing to provide in person guidance for taking pictures?
Restarting the dead thread is probably a good way to get some of us folks who haven't been around on the forum in a while to perk up

Vu said almost exactly what I was going to say. Concho Valley Photography Club is a good place to start. Some very fine amateur, semi-pro, pro-level and retired pros are amongst the members and depending on what it is you're interested in I'm sure there are folks who could help. But repeating Vu, what areas of photography are you interested in?

Im am interest in the photo club. YAY! I would like to start with portraits and landscape. I would like to get good enough to start a business one day and start doing family, kids, and senior photos. The move on to weddings. My wife had a great idea of starting with quinceanera's.
