I drove from Amarillo to Frisco this weekend to see my grandson. I started seeing bluebonnets around Chillicothe and they were thick in patches in the median and on the shoulders around Electra, Iowa Park, Wichita Falls and into Gainesville. The Indian Paintbrush was getting pretty nice around the Gainesville and Denton area but the bluebonnets and paintbrush were not together. The only place we found bluebonnets in the Frisco, McKinney, Plano area was at the old Mt. Zion Cemetery at Little Elm. I am attaching a couple of pictures taken here Sunday. I got no pictures Friday because I drove in rain most of the way. And to put you flower lovers at ease, we only walked and sat where there were no flowers. I just wish we had these flowers in the Panhandle. |
