TriCoast, and I mean the entire team of TriCoast (all 5 shooters and a lighting assistant) will be heading down to Corpus in Mid-Aug. to capture an event for a wonderful couple out of New York City.
They will be formal dressed (wedding gown and tux) and we need a place to shoot them in Corpus.
Since I have not done more than a drive by in that city for over 15 years I am lost as are the other members of TriCoast.
So does anyone here in TPF know where some cool places to shoot a Trash the Dress session on a remote beach - cool backgrounds - etc.
Also any place in the city where you can get good images, from boats, planes, trains, city buildings etc.
PLEASE HELP we truly need it and THANK YOU in ADVANCE! | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

I'm going to say the beach, lol! I know its an obvious location, but its a good location. Try North Beach or Padre Island. Also, there are some cool locations near the Art Museum. If you want a cool background trash the dress on North Beach with the Lexignton in the back! PM me if you need anymore suggestions, I live here so I know a lot of locations.

If you're looking for a more remote beach without crowds, you can drive down the beach at the National Park - Padre Island National Seashore. The first 5 miles are fine for 2 wheel drive normal vehicles, further down, you'd want a four wheel drive vehicle. The park is all the way down at the end of the SPID expressway. If you go left, you go toward Port Aransas, stay right and you dead end into the national seashore.

Ditto what the others have said. North Beach you will probably have people to work around, but there is the Lexington, and the art museum to work with.
Good luck, TTD is fun! | | | |

I mean no one uses that anymore and it is old enough. Also, the old court house is still not restored fully, and there are plenty of spots around it that are still old enough. Also, try the historic houses in downtown. They are old and are beautifully restored.

old buildings and trashy looking locations are everywhere; I guess the attraction is when you have a nice subject against something rather run down, they stick out more.

Went there last August because that was as an exotic a beach the BF and I could afford, lol. Needless to say we loved it. Dare I say it - but the water was clear a good 20-30 feet in. Now don't get confused like we did and buy the beach pass - that's actually for the city beaches. The National Park charges $10 or something minimal, a bit more if you want to camp. Which would be a suggestion to catch the sunrise. Plus you may catch turtles. Natural hatching habitat, thus it's federal protection. Um, let's see - oh yeah and you'll keep going so far down that you'll feel like your heading down no-mans land, but promise, the earth won't end. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
