I am heading to Kerrville next week on a business trip and would like to know about any can't miss photo ops in the area. I will have a few hours every afternoon to go shoot.

You have to check out Stone Henge II... It's not in kerville but very close town. I'm not sure where though. I have been there a couple of times but can't remember the name of the town. A Must see and a great photo op.

I second Stonehenge II. Go West to Ingram and when the road does a Y in Ingram keep going straight (left) towards Hunt. When you come upon Schumachers crossing just before Hunt stop here to get a few great images of one of the best swimming holes in the area. There is a road side park that lets you stop and walk around. Once back in the car keep going towards Hunt and once you get into town the road does another Y. Go Right and proceed about five miles. You can't miss it on your left.

Actually it is 1.8 miles past the turn in Hunt. It is just around the corner from Mayhugh crossing which also seemed to be a popular swimming hole.

I posted several of the shots on my gallery.
