Rural/Ranch Locations in San Angelo - 08-29-2008, 02:15 PM

Hello all,
Next week, I have an appointment to shoot a local author down in San Angelo. The Art Director thought he lived on a ranch, but it turns out he lives in town, so I'm scrambling to find a good location to evoke the sense of being out on the prairies! An open field, and maybe a fence line or two would do- anyone local to the area know of any places that might be available?

If you are talking about Elmer, he should know lots of ranchers that will let you do a shoot on the ranch with him. He is a super fantastic guy!!

If nothing else, find the rodeo arena or livestock auction barn to get some shots with fencing.

Al,
You've hit it on the head...I didn't want to be accused of name dropping earlier. Glad to know finding a location won't be too difficult! Thanks for the advice...

Glad to be of help. My wife is a writer and we have some mutual friends of Elmer's. I've met him and been around him several times. He is one fantastic guy.
Good luck on the shoot... and post some shots here.
