Powerful stuff. Worth seeing. Probably can't see any of this today. That's a shame.

Enjoy!

That is a GREAT collection of photos! I lived in Amarillo during the times those photos were taken, although I was very young for many of them. Even so, those photos brought back memories of the area.

Thank You

I was born and raised in Claude and was there during the time period for all of your shots. They brought back memories. Where's HUD? I was in it..

Hud country for sure.

I drove back and forth on US 287 too many times over the years. Always in a hurry to get somewhere else. Never stopped to enjoy and photograph the Panhandle. My bad!

I'm glad Y'all are enjoying the photos.

Wonderful gallery of photos! I absolutely love the b/w PJ-style of photography. Their lives were challenging but simple. Thanks for sharing!

I'm getting the faint glimmer of an idea for a project.

Print the photographs (current & the ones to come) and put them in an album. Then go and try to find the same or simlilar scenes. One caption in the current gallery indicates that the location is now a subdivision. That would make an interesting comparison.

I wish they were my photos. I wish I had known what to do with a rangefinder camera and B&W film when I was in High School. I wish I had spent more time in the Panhandle instead of always driving through too fast on my way to the mountians.

Thanks for thinking I'm good enough to have made these photos.
