Feb 9 - Abilene Supper

OK, as some of you know there is a guild meeting that night. Before the meeting some of us are getting together for dinner at the McM Elegante Suits on Ridgemont Dr (across from the Mall) for dinner.

We'll be arriving around 6pm. Anyone who's around who would like to come to supper - feel free. Its dutch, so bring your own wad of dough.

Ok, I'm also working on my very first powerpoint presentation. I thought it would be really hard, but it actually kinda fun. Everyone sounds really cool, so while I'm still a bit nervous, I'm actually starting to look forward to it. I talked to Prevost, and he said if you guys started looking bored, I should just show you how to make plastic people. :-)

We're meeting at the hotel restaurant in the MCM Elegante, its called Remmington's. When you walk into the hotel front doors, turn right at the end of the foyer - it'll be right in front of you. If you get lost - call mike @ 325-201-7458. I stink at giving directions; you'll end up in Mexico.

Mike Queen and I are coming from Ft. Worth (rain or shine) and Mike has somehow booked a Model shoot in Abilene...

I was thinking we might talk the Hotel into letting us shoot in the lobby or somewhere inside ? Any other suggestions about where in Abilene to shoot a model in the middle of the afternoon ???

I just wanted to give all you guys a heartfelt "Thank You" for letting me speak at your function.
Mike and I met such wonderful people, saw people we had only previously known via the internet, and caught up with old friends we hadn't seen in way too long.
I also wanted to thank all of you for embracing us and our wacky ideas, and the questions that went on for the extra hour. It was so fun to reach out to other photographers and to get to know you all.
Someone mentioned a photoshop class. If you guys still want it, Mike and I would be happy to provide it.
Thank you also for all the kind letters we have recieved. That means so much to us.

I drove 300+ miles rt to see this class and have dinner with friends. (but nowhere as far as Cindy and Mike drove).
It was worth every mile, and then some. Great people out there, and the dinner was very good.
I'll attach a photo taken in the hotel that afternoon.

I'm in for the PS class. Just name the location.
