Went to Bolivar last tue. It looks different but good. Lots of construction, rebuilding, clean up....lots of traffic but it was all construction trucks, trailers, clean up crews....seemed odd not seeing any animals except birds....no cows, no dogs, no cats....
not much left in our small subdivision so it was real quiet. you could hear the hum of a tool going....it is nice to see so many people are already rebuilding...
there had been a stake w/our address on it and a flag to mark the water line....a few pylons and the concrete slab so i was very suprised when i pulled up and nothing was there.....the lot was clean and leveled and nothing much there...not sure who or when it was done.....but i think i would have rathered having it wiped out than how a few of the houses looked....it was terrible seeing so much damage....the beach looks good...sand has been sifted.
bay side still has so much debris... but it will get better....I liked seeing the grass growing. It was green and growing so that made me feel better....just taking time....it will be a slow process...and will be different...not bad just different than what it was....diane
