If you can get to Amarillo by tonight, we are supposed to have snow starting around 11:00 PM and through Friday evening. 5 to 10" and 50 MPH winds! Have you ever been in a blizzard? The sun will be out Saturday and the drifts should be great. Nothing like Panhandle weather.
Oh, and I heard they are predicting up to 3 feet on Raton Pass in New Mexico. You haven't lived until you have been snowed in at Raton!

Sorry Wayne, I am going to Frisco to see my grandson and I was leaving in the morning but I have moved that up to this afternoon. I have seen plenty of snow and blizzards and they are pretty for about 5 minutes and then become a pain in the rear. I will take some pictures of Thomas the Tank Engine at Grapevine Saturday, however.
We have a blizzard here in around 1971 or 1972. It snowed for 72 hours and blew over 60 MPH. Thunder and lightning one night - THUNDERSNOW! It took over a month for the snow to melt in places. I had a car that was buried for over a week. I hope that was a 100 year storm and the next generation will see the next one! Of course we had 2 - 100 year floods 3 years apart.
Come on everybody and drive up here. Zero visibility shouldn't slow you down.
If there is anything left Sunday, I'll "capture" it.

Awesome! I recall I-40 shut down after Christmas break the year I spent at the U. of NM. I had to drive back from Lafayette through Lubbock. Does anyone really know how long you can look at Lubbock in the rear view mirror?

Well, it was night & I was headed west. I know I watched the glow as I approached forever. Seems like I was in New Mexico and could still see the glow.

We are coming in Friday. Do you know if they are gonna get that kind of snow? I've heard different things. Not sure how close Lubbock is to Amarillo. Guess I could look it up.

I don't know about the weather. All I know is if you've made it to Lubbock, but you need to get to Amarillo, you're not there yet but you sure as heck wish you were.

Hahaha, thanks, Holly!
Yeah, I am getting mixed reports. But, it would be cool if it snowed. They are having their reception at the stadium, so snow on the field might be cool.

I assume it is some TT'ers?
If Armadillo gets snow there is a good chance that Looboch will get something too and Abeline could use it to keep them damn rattlesnakes in their dens longer.
Saw that it was 17 at 6pm in Denver and that is coming down here, heck they have knocked the low for DFW down to a possible 33 now, so if you have a spring garden coming up you will need to get out and protect it.
Since I'm going to Russels Deal at Bass Pro I may run over to the Thomas the Tank thing too.
Maybe you can get the groomsmen to have a snowball fight with the bridesmaids after the service?
