Photo locations in Waco - 05-03-2009, 01:30 PM

Hey there,
I am looking for some good places in Waco to take some family pictures for my sister and her family. I am meeting them there next weekend for the day and don't know of any good places to take some great shots. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Depending on the size of the family, the Arboretum in Woodway has lots of great, colorful backgrounds. Theres always the suspension bridge as well. If you are into columns and buildings, there are a lot of those at Baylor now.

You could go to the Veteran's Hospital, some really nice locations in Cameron Park and Cameron Park Zoo. McClennan Community College has great locations, as does Heritage Homestead, and the Dr Pepper Museum. You might also check out Waco Wetlands, a small but picturesque location.

Best of luck!

Wish I had seen this DAYS ago.
Waco has a version of the river walk on the Brazos that is nice. In fact, that is where I had my first photo (test) shoot back in 01 :)

The park where the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame offers a lot, too...

That's our old stomping grounds (well, there and Odessa;)

I haven't gone yet. Plan on meeting my sister and family in a couple of weeks. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have been looking online at a couple of them and it looks like I might spend all day shooting pics:) Thanks again.
