Help me pretty please :) - 09-10-2007, 07:51 PM

Hey Folks, I was in there on 9-4 and got a hot shoe to hot shoe adapter and a Pocket Wizard PC5 to mini 5' coiled cable. What I am trying to do is connect that to my flash and trigger it using a microsync. When I got home and tried it out, I could not get it to work. So I am trying to narrow down whats wrong. So I have a few questions, but let me say (1) the microsync works fine on my studio lights, so I know thats working. (2) I have charged and changed all batteries in the flash, and in the microsync.

So I have 2 questions.
1. If I connect my hot shoe to hot shoe/with the flash connected, to hot shoe on camera, should the flash fire? (Cuz it does not)

2. If its something wrong with the two items, can I send them back and have you send me replacements???

3. Hit me over the head next time I come in there for not trying this out in store, since i live 150 miles away :)

Thank for any help you can give!

Heather

Hermilo: we were trying to duplicate the setup I came up with in this thread:

http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...ad.php?t=48320

Its supposed to be a remote hotshoe with a hot shoe (where the flash sits).. a pc sync plug into that hotshoe, which leads to the Microsync transmitter.

The problem is either in the cord or the hotshoe... we don't know which.
