Thank you for the service - 12-19-2008, 10:47 AM

Just wanted to drop a quick note to thank the folks at Arlington Camera for their patience and excellent service.

I went in to buy a lens yesterday. The level of professionalism, patience with customers, open and frank discussion, all in all a good hour plus spent checking out and shooting with the Nikon, Tamron's, and Sigma variants, I settled on the Nikon 24-70mm zoom. I tried out 5 different lenses on the demo SLR they had available. The sales person who helped me was extremely courteous and the two others who offered their input were about as professional as one can expect.

Arlington Camera was able to give me a good deal on the lens and I ended up buying a film camera from their used inventory as well.

This kind of service (and pricing) will keep me coming back to support the local stores rather than spending money at online retailers like B&H or Adorama.

Regards,
TY

I dropped by Arlington Camera for the first time a few weeks ago and was also highly impressed. I went in knowing exactly what I needed and had my two year old and one year old with me so wanted to be fast. They gave my two year old a goody bag filled with Christmas goodies and kept him entertained while I shopped.

They were extremely nice!

These people are the best. Rick is my normal salesperson but everyone there is really knowledgable and will take all day to help you even if you tell them off the top that you dont plan on buying anything that particular day.

Highly recommend these guys.

I also agree the service is outstanding, I went in there today to get my sensor cleaned. I left with a clean sensor, a sensor cleaning kit, the knowlege to do it myself, and a battery grip for my back up camera.

I went to Arlington Camera for the first time based on the positive comments I'd read on this forum. This was about three weeks ago before we were going on our summer vacation up into northern New Mexico and I had in mind several items was looking for. I ended up only buying one of the three items I was looking for as they were kind enough to talk with me for about an hour on what I really needed and didn't need (and was most pleased that they actually told me most of what I wanted I really didn't need, thereby saving me a *lot* of money).

They were also happy to provide me some advice on some other equipment questions I had that I never found a satisfactory answer to from Professor Google. It's very refreshing to get help from knowledgeable sales staff without the high pressure sell. They were patient and even let me try out a few things on my DSLR to see what I thought. They're an ace bunch that I plan on supporting further.

It was quite a drive for me from where I was that day, but it was a drive worth it as it was time well spent. I'm planning to come back again later this month ;)
