Question Gels for flashes - 03-30-2009, 03:22 PM

Do you guys stock gel kits for flashes? If not, what do you have in the way of gels (for example, CTO, green (fluorescent), etc...)?

John I have the Honl Set for regular flashes and ive been very impressed with the set.

One thing though, you need to purchase the Velcor Speed Strap separately:
http://www.arlingtoncamera.com/shop/...ap-8359-0.html

Its pictured in the gel item page but i dont believe its included. you can either use the Honl strap or use your own adhesive velcro. I got the speed strap just in case im borrowing someone else's flash or if a friend wants to try out my gel set etc. just take the strap off and place it on another flash without having to worry about adhesive.

Color Correction:
Cinegel Quarter Blue (1/4 CTB)
Cinegel Tough 1/2 PlusGreen
Cinegel Tough 1/4 PlusGreen
Cinegel Roscosun CTO
Cinegel Roscosun 1/2 CTO
Cinegel Roscosun 1/4 CTO
Cinegel Roscosun 3/4 CTO

Effects:
Roscolux Primary Blue
Roscolux Moss Green
Roscolux Light Red Honl Photo

I also really like that theyre individually labeled! hehe

Thanks for the info, Abel. I have a Lumiquest strap, which should work fine. Can't wait to get mine!

Went over there on Wednesday and no joy. They are OOS with no idea when they'll have more. I ended up getting a pack of the colored 12x12 to play with although I won't be able to do WB correction with them. I'll probably end up ordering from Midwest Photo if AC doesn't get any within the next couple of business days (sorry, guys).

That's the same 12x12 pack I bought.. and you can do creative color balance with them. :)

That's exactly why I bought them. Planning to do some creative lighting sometime this weekend.
