Brian DeMint - 09-03-2011, 12:34 AM

Saw an article in Digital PhotoPro entitled Deliberate Dissonance about Joplin Missouri based Brian DeMint.
Shoots with a D90 and a kit lens.
Uses a handheld clamp light from Wal-Mart with a 100w bulb, and maybe a hair light.
Has a full time job at a power plant.
Charges $100 for an hour session or $170 for three hours. (really)

Refuses to shoot in RAW.
The man is so good it's almost depressing.

Some have crazy talent and can pull it off. Most are not so lucky or skilled.

Dave, I posted about him a couple of weeks ago, our good member Leslie Spurlock worked with him at a recent training event in Dallas. He was also featured in a 2011 photovision dvd

Now if I could just combine DeMint's skills with this guy's photoshop skills...
Sergey Ivanov

Btw, got the Dvds on DeMint after my original post. Textures and compositing are becoming minimim necessary skills to compete.
