January 2010 Assignment: Monochromatic - 01-01-2010, 01:24 PM

New month, new year, new decade.

The assignment exercises are meant to stretch your creative muscles. Each month, a topic is posted and you are invited to post images to that thread that fit your interpretation of the theme. There are no right and wrong.. there is no contest, no prizes.. This is a challenge to yourself and an opportunity to share.

So the theme this month is

Monochromatic

Remember that "monochromatic" does not mean B&W necessarily.. it simply means that a single color dominates the image. For example:

Taken while driving around the Jackson Hole, Wyoming area. The color image was good but once I began working it into B&W, just to see how it would look, I was shocked at how much more life it had.

I love the effect you have created. It looks like it was created entirely on a computer.

Nice ones. I'm about to head to Winter Park for some skiing so I'll come back with some very monochrome images.... like Ray's!
