February 2010 Assignment: Love

We haven't done this theme for a couple of years.. so its time for a recycle..

I tried to avoid typical love symbols and go for a more quiet, subtle message, but hopefully recognizable.

OK, here's mine. Our grandsons Jayden and Gauge. Jayden every once and a while surprises us and actually shows us how much he loves his little brother. My wife Traci loves this look.



I know, Jayden (on the right) is slightly out of focus. Kids make it hard to keep everything sharp some days...

Missing her love... shot for an OpLove session recently..

It was a cold and blustery January day at Willow Springs International Raceway, just outside of Mojave, California. I was there covering the races for California Sports Car magazine, and got to chatting with this couple between races. I asked if I could take their picture. They struck this natural pose with no prompting from me. I took this photo 24 years ago, and it's still one of my favorites.

I am thankful for my kids and the love they still show each other.
We can still catch glimpses of the innocence when they dont know we are watching.
