OK so my son was given an assignment that was actually fun for me to help him complete ( finally )
He was given 21 Geometric shapes to find and photograph. For a shape that he found that was a occurred naturally he received 3 points, man-made objects 2 points, and something he had to make (clay / legos ect.) he received 1 point. We were able to find all but the octagon in a natural form.
It really made me look at things in a different perspective than I normally do. For example I was able to show him how, by moving the camera angle you could create a right angle triangle and an obtuse triangle from some tree limbs by just moving to a different angle.
Anyway thought it might be fun to see what people can come up with so here are a few of the shapes we had to find:
Traingle
Pyramid
Octagon
Hexagon
Trapezoid
Parallelogram
Rectangular Prism
edit: I forgot to mention that the teacher was very lenient on the pictures as you can see by the above examples ( he was ok with a part of the triangle having some curves in the sides)
