That's So Ugly - 11-25-2005, 11:42 PM

That turkey shot of Olga's is such a good picture of such a staggeringly ugly bird that it threatens to shut down the competition from the get go. Nevertheless . . . we sallie forth

Being the "family" photographer is a humbling exprience. I know many of us tried to corral the family members for "THE" group shot. Here's one of our group assembling itself -- fours shots later, it was still the best we had.

This is the only turkey picture I could find in my archive... I had a plan for a shot this weekend, but it didn't happen.. but there's still time. :)

Turkey - Can't top that - 11-26-2005, 12:32 AM

This is the only decent live one in my archive. Maybe one of the cooked variety would be in order

i was thinking John McCain!!!

great catch!!! i was gonna try to snap a pic as well but its hard to pic up the camera while passed out on the couch! hehe ahh good times!

also some one was telling lisa and i the other day that milk also has tryptophan (?sp) in it and when it is warmed up it activates it and makes you sleepy like turkey does. thats why people say drink a warm glass of milk if you have problems sleeping. im lactose intolerant so i just take a shot of Nyquil then im out like a light!!

The Turkey... - 11-26-2005, 08:19 PM

Thanks all for the comments on my picture. I got pretty close to that turkey. He sure did not like that. Started making a hissing sound at me when I decided that it was time to go. My husband said I was lucky that I wasn't wearing red since they are attracted to it. Anyway, "he" was not on my table, but the one that was sure was good...
Thanks again guys, really encouraging to read your comments.

Olga
