Thought I would try and get this subforum moving again. So for December your assignment is Still Life. Still life photography is the depiction of inanimate subject matter, most typically a small grouping of objects. Still life photography, more so than other types of photography, such as landscape or portraiture, gives the photographer more leeway in the arrangement of design elements within a composition. links to help you get started. 5 Still Life Lighting Tips for Beginners Still Life Photography Tips to Create Still Life Images. I find still life photography to be a challenge and very rewarding. You really have to slow down and consider everything in the shot. You have total control over every aspect. Go forth and create.... I've never done still lifes before, so I might have totally missed it. But I really enjoyed playing with my light and I used the "ugly maker" for fill light in some shots.
