Will the "winners" of the assignments receive their trophies at the TPF Annual Awards Banquet?

Sure, but there has to be a minimum level of participation or no prizes will be awarded. ;)

OK, Ive read thru most everything i can find for this answer but didnt find it.
So there is no 'winner'? How bout a 'favorite'?
Perhaps at the end of the assignment there could be a poll posted where we could vote on a a favorite.

A lot of the people that were involved in the discussions that started this off didn't want it to have any of the airs of a contest/popularity contest... the idea was to have something in which everyone would participate and admire one another's work.... to use it as a way to stretch the imagination and the creative process.
That said, its not really worked that way... most everyone (including me) ends up using something from their files instead of creating something new. I'm thinking about ways to encourage that.

i like this idea and i think it would be fun to participate...
can dates be added to the topic though? that way - if someone posts to an old topic...you can still figure out which one is the current one...

Because the majority of the people who responded when this was set up (and then again a couple months ago) didn't want it to be a competition.
I am thinking about changing it up a little bit and taking some extra time to actually critique them... but any changes won't happen until January.

In my view that would be great. I think it is human nature that people generally check post that they are interested until they gets answer or they are satisfy. I think you will get more participation as well.
Only drawback is that someone also gets ticks off and leaves but hey that is life.

Howdy all,
I've been a member here for a while now, just not very active. I'm hoping to change that. :D
Brad, I feel your pain. I've organized these types of things in the past on other boards, and it's always tough to get things started, and rules/guidelines setup.
I think keeping it friendly and not so much competitive is the way to go.
Hope to start contributing soon.

Updated the rules/guidelines to include:
6. There is no time limit. Post whenever.. even weeks or months after the topic is posted. The idea is to try and help inspire yourself to do something different - not to fit you within strict guidelines.
