This was actually taken last month from my front yard. I think the glow in the pic is from that d@mn gas well that moved into the neighborhood since it was taken after midnight and it is mighty dark out here at night. Anyways...

Thanks, Brad. I wasn't really going for star trails - way too cold that night (and I'm a wimp!). But, it was a clear night and lots of stars.

Could that glow have been a moonrise coming on?

Cool shots, Jeffrey & Arlon.. keep 'em coming.

(I have a shot of one of my cats with a star in his eyes, but it is the reflection of the strobe umbrella.)

I had two or three ideas for this, and this is the only one that panned out.

Stars - a practical use ? - 12-14-2006, 09:00 PM

This might be a step off from everybodys, but had a photo gig last Saturday night to do some company photo's. I'll be adding a few favorites in the people section, but used some "stars" for my bgnd. The stars were cheap wooden stars from MJDesign, painted flat black, then painted with silvery reflective glue on the face of the stars. Made it easy to reflect the light and maintain the "shape" of the stars.

Brad, if this doesn't fit in this assignment, feel free to delete.

Thanks.
Randy

Not sure if I'm limited to one photo or not but While out driving today, I considered myself still "on assignment". Since it's "stars" I tried to limit my focus.. Arlon

I'll leave the Texas version for someone else.. Arlon
