Assignment #11: The Road - 06-10-2005, 03:47 PM

Sorry we're late this week... I'm out of town and just managed to get online (after a quick run to Best Buy to get a network card for my laptop.... what kind of hotel doesn't have 802.11 these days? LOL)

This week's assignment.... The Road.

Well, stay at nicer places. Those rent by the hour rooms don't usually have requests for 802.11 type of services.

I looked at this asignment as a "travel" assignment - and in my case it's the "air road".

Heh.. that's why I stayed here (Country Inn and Suites)... nice, new hotels... and every other one I've ever stayed in had 802.11 :( Oh well...

I'll post mine later... this is a road trip for us.

Watch out for the TREE! - 06-10-2005, 11:30 PM

This was taken in the little town of Bellville.
The tree is in the road next to the house and across the street from a school.
It makes me wonder who decided it needed to stay there?
I didn't see any sort of historical marker on or near it.

I like the way this road just drops off out of sight.

Normally I would have sought out a more artistic subject, but this one presented itself first.
