Assignment #24: Night - 10-07-2005, 11:09 AM

Somehow we ended up syncing with the creativity exercise, so I think I may run this one for only a week to get us back on opposite weeks.

Next Assignment Topic: Night

Just thought I would pop this into the thread. Not my favorite, but I don't have many night shots in my book. I added number two because I figured I would be the first of many for this particular Night Shot...

Here's one from my camping trip this summer - a 3 minute exposure taken at around 11pm.

Good idea now that the days are getting shorter...

Think I'll try and get out and shoot some night shots this week.

Sorry the file size is so small, all I had available at the moment

20 second exposure with a hand held strobe set at 1/64 that I popped off a couple times on the bride at the end of the exposure.

FM 407, just West of I-35W outside Justin Texas. I was there getting sky shots when this gravel truck comes bareling down the road. It was the only thing that passed by the whole 45 minutes I was out there.

Thumbs up A summer shot in Aruba - 10-07-2005, 06:13 PM

Actually, this one was in the evening. I hope y'all like it.
It was this summer in Aruba (A Dutch Caribbean island).
I spent a whole week over there relaxing, trying to get out of the routine.
I will send some other shot at night later this week.

Great shot John!
Where are you standing for this shot? And how safe is it there after dark?

Thanks Jake. This was taken from the top of the Methodist Medical Center parking garage on Beckley Ave. and Colorado Blvd in Oak Cliff. It was safe enough after dark but the surrounding neighborhood isn't someplace I would want to break down in.
