Outdoor Family Photo Shoot

I need some help here and quickly. I have a photo shoot coming up in Austin for a friend and her two toddlers on the 7th of this month and they are available in the morning. Now, I am planning to take them to Auditorium Shores in Zilker Park to do this shoot so that they can be showcased against the downtown skyline, but when I went there early in the morning, the sun rose behind the downtown buildings and it's impossible to get a good shot of downtown in the background from this location early morning. Same thing for the capitol building.
Therefore, I want to ask you folks if you know of any locales in Austin which are good for morning photo sessions. I appreciate all your help in this matter.

Not sure it would be good for toddlers, but I took my then-6- and 2-year-old boys up to Mt. Bonnell one morning. Made for some very nice photos with the sweeping view of the river below.
