Are they back out there? I went by that place about 2 weeks ago or so, and they were not out. Drove there just for that reason.

They currently have the hearts out. Gordon has a great photo of them (I can't find it at the moment).

Normally it looks something like

Though some times through the year they mix it up:

Valentines

I think in August, when it gets really hot, they put out penguins as a sort of Austin/ Antartic rain dance, and in October there are pumpkins. As Troy said, it's hearts right now. I think I've seen Zebras as well ?

You might want to get out and shoot these while they are still available. The plastic pink flamingo has just been added to the endangered species list. The manufacturer closes their doors on Nov 1st.

I used to work right by those guys. They periodically replace the flamingos with other things. Penguins are the main ones I remember, other than the already mentioned hearts.

I don't know if it's worth the drive all the way from Muleshoe, but if you're in Austin, sure
I was by there about a month ago looking for a garden statue, and the flamingos were out then.

That would be a loooong way for a plastic bird!

I will be driving through Austin in a few days and thought it might be fun to see.
Thanks for the update..

I'll update everyone tomorrow. I'm in Austin and will be driving back to Dallas. Stopping by a few places to shoot along the way.
