KGSR's Unplugged at the Grove

Each Thursday, Austin's live music scene unplugs for acoustic performances from such acts as Bob Schneider, Patrice Pike and the South Austin Jug Band. Shady Grove. "Unplugged At the Grove", presented by 107.1 KGSR, will showcase some of the best of Austin's diverse musical community each Thursday, weather permitting, under the stars on Shady Grove's tree-shaded patio.

Free Thursday night music outdoors at Shady Grove (1624 Barton Springs Rd)! Join us every Thursday night, for a free show starting at *8pm! Enjoy great food and beverages ($2.00 Zeigenbocks and $3.00 pints of Bud Light). Get there early for a good parking spot - put a KGSR sticker on your car for KGSR CD Singles.


The outdoor, all-ages music series runs each Thursday at 8 pm starting April 10th and running through September 25th. Since its inception, "Unplugged At the Grove” has become one of Austin’s most eagerly anticipated annual musical traditions, having presented some of Texas’ and the country’s most acclaimed musicians, including Shawn Colvin, Dave Alvin, Joe Ely, the Dixie Chicks, Nickel Creek, Guy Clark, Jim Lauderdale, and scores of others.

Shady Grove is the home of great outdoor dining, nestled under the shade of a tall pecan grove, just minutes from downtown, modeled after State parks from the 1940s, and specializing in Texas cuisine.
