Here is a cool image I took using my D700, three virticle shots merged in Photoshop. Processed in Nikon Capture NX2, used a Sigma 50mm f/1.4

Ah, Austin. Lived there in 95-97 when I went to UT. Nice shot of skyline.

I like this. It's well composed, and there's a nice flow across the image for your eye to follow thanks to the sidewalk and grassy knolls, which have a nice soft light on them. You got a nice sky as well. I could maybe go for a little more contrast in the sky, but the colors are really nice and I like the way the clouds seem to radiate out from the buildings.

One problem with using Photoshop as a stitcher is that often doesn't do a very good job of detecting the vanishing point of the pano. Notice how the buildings kind of slant out away from the center, especailly towards the edge of the frame. You can fix this with the lens correction plugin in Photoshop, but even better is to avoid it in the first place by using a stitcher than can detect the vanishing point (or that lets you set it manually).

Here's a quick edit since your profile says you don't mind. I used a little perspective correction, increased contrast in the sky, and gave a very slight lift to the shadows.
