does anyone know where i can take my external hard drive to get fixed? It fell off my desk and a connection broke that leads from the hard drive to the usb port to my comp. It has all my 22k pictures on and i dont wanna lose them.

I would suggest you open the box and remove the hard drive, purchase a new standard enclosure, and install your existing drive in the new enclosure. I've done this before with devices that had only USB into a new enclosure that supported both USB and Firewire. It's really pretty simple. You just need to make sure the internal drive interface (ATA or SATA) matches your new enclosure. That's why I recommended removing the drive first so you know which interface you have.

Just buy a portable case and swap the hard drive into the new case
