Sounds like fun. Anyone want to do a TPF meetup there?

It is a great opportunity to get some shots of lots of different styles and breed of cars. The only drawback is the people.........
I am definitely going Saturday afternoon, regardless of how bright or hot it gets. Who knows, maybe Sunday too. I would love to do do a TPF meetup on Saturday! Someone suggest a time and place, or I can...

Looks like the gates open at 10AM. Maybe meet up at 9:30-9:45 to allow time to chat and gather up? Not sure if there is a nearby locale or just meet up near the entrance.

Do you mean the number of people?

Jennifer, if that's the time, I'll have to catch up with all of you inside as I am not able to be there until shortly after 12:00...

Yes Amanda, exactly. The number of people often make it difficult to get the shot you would prefer to get. So sometimes you settle with what you can get....

It is a popular car show. From low-slung convertibles to rusty rock-a-billy types to T-buckets to everything in between.

I'll be down on South Congress Saturday afternoon/evening. They generally line Congress Ave. with cars from about Academy up to Mary St., and there's a lot of cruising going on too.

Might have to head out to S. Congress for this. No time for the Expo center since I'm going to the UT scrimmage game on Saturday also.

So did y'all go down there. I only had Saturday afternoon from 2-5 free, so I was there then. Harsh afternoon light, and when the sun was out it was hot. At least it was partly cloudy.

I ended up missing it. My son had a birthday party I had to take him to. Completely forgot about the party until the night before.

I went out to the Travis County Fairgrounds with my wife Traci and her 11 year old son, Keegan. We gave him a Canon Rebel digital for his birthday as he started showing an interest in photography and we went shootin'.
As I was walking around, a guy stopped me and asked if I sold any shots I take? I said sure. He asked me to take a bunch of pictures of his and his buddies wives around their two cars. I agree the sun was harsh at times, and yes it was hot. But I got some that worked.
Some of the proofs are here

They are really happy!
