This is a discussion on We're in Bat Country! within the Austin forums, part of the Texas category; What time is best to be at the bridge to see the bats? I'm looking at going this evening....

Wasn't to bad.. Lot better then the last time I went out to watch. Was over at the docks by the rowing stations.. Lil to far away from my 24-70 (sold the 70-200 L). Prob go back Monday and stay by the Statesman. |

Finally made it to see the bats. My wife and I were downtown last night for dinner and decided to see the bats first. We got there a little late and the Statesman's parking was full. We went to "Gordon's soon to be copyrighted" spot and I was able to get a few shots. Most of the bats were gone by then, except for a thin stream on the south side, so I concentrated on the bridge itself. I really like the purple hues. ok these have been some great townlake/bat shots. I'm convinced that next time I find time to shoot, thats my destination. Awesome! |
