Austin Wildflowers... - 04-21-2005, 08:23 PM

I guess this is the right place to post this since it WAS taken up in Austin...last weekend, on Sunday morning (4/17). I was up early - nicely overcast skies...and waiting on a client to call me for a Sunday morning shoot...so I ventured over to a church that I had frequented in the past for wildflowers... the Parker Lane Methodist Church. I'll be sending them a few prints (which is what they have requested in the past for being able to shoot there). They let the wildflowers take over the yard and adjacent lot...and don't mow (except the edges) until the bloom is done...

Very nice.. and a nice switch from the rusted barns and windmills one ususally gets with a field like this. :)

Oh, my...I really like that one.

By the way, how automated are your "frames"? I'm trying to improve my workflow and I'm struggling with automating the frame and copyright stamp (it's a brush.)

Brad and Jesus...thank you for the comments! Jesus, I created a PS action for the frames...it's really simple - I have one for vertical and one for horizontal..the copyright brush is not part of the action though...as I often place it in different areas of the image (I do keep the opacity at about 50% so it doesn't appear too "bright" on the photo)..

If you need help in creating the action, let me know..I'll be glad to assist!

How do you add the text to the action?

Brad - I do all the text after the action has been run. Since the text is all different for each image, I'm not sure how an action would work on it... :)
