TPF Austin Artificial lighting Class????? - 05-17-2005, 03:47 PM

OK!, we just had this past Sunday or pilot on Artificial lighting class in Houston, you can read the long posts previous to the class and after the class, even a quick video clip from one of the attendees who got a few clips by the end of the night on the "Houston" side. Pricing has been adjusted for the Houston Classes if you wish to drive there, otherwise I am planning to come to your area and host a class if there is enough interest/show of hands there before I start to book locations and Models for it.

Inrtro Class for your area Forum Members $100.00, it is higher than the Houston one because of traveling there, etc. it will be about 5-6 hours long and it will include hand on, questions and answers during the class as we go from 1 topic to the next.

So, I would need a show of hands with interest and what days of the week or weekends will work better for you so I can have an Idea and then set a date for it and go from there, right now I am just meassuring interest, and if so, then we move forward as soon as we can schedule it...so now let me hear it!

I just saw this thread and would definitely be interested. How many people would you need to reconsider the class? I might be able to get a few together.

This is a beginer's class, we will go thru the basics and move quickly into action. So anyone will do good, just bring your thinking cap and you will do ok, also thru the class you will be able to ask questions if you do not understand something, so don't be shy and you will get the most of it!

As far as the dates, it will depend when the majority are available, once sugestions are made we can focuss on the best date for the Majority.

FYI: The Houston and Dallas classes have changed dates...it would be : Houston on the 12th and Dallas possibly on the 26th...the Houston one is $20.00 less if you decide to make it out there and it is not a bad drive at all...and if a few car pool it would even be better.

lighting.. - 06-04-2005, 12:52 PM

Yes, I'm still interested...I wont be able to make it to the one in Houston. I wish there was more interest here in Austin! If a class is able to make, I'd love to go..but, June/July are getting really busy for me already, so at this point, I'm not able to pinpoint a date. Let's just keep trying to build some interest here...
Thanks
Zach

I'm still interested as well, but I'll be on vacation on the 12th. I'd really like to get something together here in Austin, but my attempts to get a few of my photog friends interested hasn't gone very well.

I would need an outline to see if it would be worth it for me. I've done some lighting exercises with my AlienBees and even smaller flash units.

Thanks,

Hi Tony!

Thanks for the interest, since there is no class going on so far in Austin, are you planning on comming down to the Houston class or the Dallas one?

As far as an outline, I don't have one I can sent you, but if you need more information about the class feel free to call me direct on my cell.

It is a 5-6 hour class, there will basic instructions on using Strobes, hotlights, etc. which I will have there for hands on with 2 models present, it is not a shoot out, it is a class, very laid back, some tricks of the trade, mixing artificial lighting with ambient, Strobes with hotlights, etc. and much more, lots of questions and answers so everyone can be on the same level.

Hope to hear from you or see you at the class.
