We still would like to meet all the Austin shooters. Also places to go other than the Capital.

Murph, Looks like we are going to have to go exploring to find some cool shooting locations. I'll do some research on my end and see what I can come up with.
Thanks!
John..... | | | |

Thanks! John..... | I'm still in the maybe column for attending, but don't worry too much about finding other stuff to shoot. We had a GTG last June that started at the capital. Only 3 of us showed up because it threatened rain, but we just wandered up and down Congress Ave. and the alleys on each side, and found a lot of interesting architectural stuff. Here's the thread from that GTG last year. http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...&highlight=gtg
One alternative to wandering the alleys would be to go over to Waterloo Park east of the capital building, and then go down the Waller Creek trail. I'd like to check that out.

One of the places I've been intending to go shoot is under the "360 Bridge". It's a wonderful landmark on Lake Austin on the Capital of Texas Highway (Highway 360) just south of FM 2222. The bridge itself is unique, and there's a boat launch area underneath it providing excellent perspectives of the bridge, the lake/river, and the cliffs across the lake.
Other shooting locations:
If there's going to be a group shoot, I'd love to be there.
