Flashdance in an Austin alley - 04-07-2008, 11:03 AM

Right up front, I am not 100% pleased with this shot and will be redoing it soon. I wnated to do it in my friends studio, but he wasn't crazy about having 15 gallons of water racing around his studio floor and I can understand that!! I needed to get a little more light on the water itself to get those splashes to really sparkle. The model, however, is absoulutley fearless!!!

I'd like to see a sequence of shots, too. Now that she's gone through the water torture at least once, I bet she'll have some interesting facial expressions.

Plus, maybe you'll be able to find a better setting with a cleaner background and better light ... shade?

I remember reading about how they shot that scene. The actress ended up with a bunch of water up her nose (forcefully) because her head was so far back.

Looks like you're not recreating THAT part. :)
