3 minutes to sunset, yesterday - 04-26-2008, 09:39 AM

The storms almost split around Leander,
bringing tornados to Bell and Williamson counties,
then meeting up after rolling over us and dumping
rain and hail over the Austin area. This was
3 minutes before sunset and 15 minutes before
the rain started in Leander.

Very cool! It's been an interesting spring thus far and we're in for another round tonight. Stay safe and keep sharing.

Angels were busy last night! Five tornadoes were sighted between Waco and Granger, with no reported damage and no injury. I think the people in Jarrell were praying extra hard! The storm that went through Belton was NE of us, and some finally developed NW of us, and were in the process of joining up as they came over. The two storms became one before they left Cedar Park and Taylor.

Rather disconcerting when nearing sunset and the
light breaks through from the north and east.

Well, this time they forgot their heater systems, because they fell outa the sky in south Austin in little balls of ice!

These are some pretty mean looking clouds, good shots. So far here in Killeen we have been lucky, these storms went right past us.
