UT Tower; best position - 05-17-2008, 05:45 PM

Hello All,
First thanks for the collective knowledge shared here. Question: what is the best location to catch the '08 in the lit up tower for graduation? Maybe the Baptist cheer down the mall, somewhere else???

I will be using my 70-200 Nikon on D70 and maybe a few wide angle shots ...with a tripod.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Don

Depends on what your wanting. You can go down by the fountains but its usually a zoo down there.

Theres a parking garage on the north side though, right off Guadalupe that has a pretty good view. Forget what the name of the street is that its on. Its like the last street you can turn on thats not on campus if your headed south on Guadalupe. The shot in my avatar is from the top floor of that garage.

The area near the horse fountain is the best, but it is crowded... But there should be NO problem later on in the night... just take a few shots with same settings and hopefully people will not be in exact same places so you can pick and choose from each image...
