I'm from SA and really can't offer any suggestions - but will up there tomorrow morning doing an engagement session. We are shooting first at bass hall on Ut - cause thats where they met back in high school..(insert awwwww) and then we'll do some around there and then we are going to wander 6th st looking for cool backdrops. they are a fun coupe and up to try whatever - so who knows what we'll come up with!

I am shooting around downtown myself in the morning maybe we will bump into each other. I am planning on shooting inside the capitol when it opens with model and on the streets before.

I just saw that someone posted that the annual pecan festival is on 6th st this weekend.

Can't decide if that will hurt or help our thoughts of some funky shots there??

There are a lot of photo ops at the capital.

Yes there are. Dont forget about the underground wing as well. Some cool stairs and hallways down there.

Your post says "next month" so I don't think I'm too late. I know a place where you can find the graffiti, it's pretty much abandoned, and you can get to the lake, all at the same time. Here are a couple photos to see if you're interested. You walk down a trail under a bridge, you get to an abutment with graffiti on it. Keep walking and you get to the water. These were taken in the middle of a sunny day, and I've meant to get back there to do it more justice, but you get the idea.
PM for specific directions.

360 access to the Greenbelt, off Capitol of Texas Highway. Go down to the creek (park inside the gate!), turn left, and walk 'til you hit the 360 bridge. If it hasn't been painted over, there's usually some interesting graffiti there.
