Cute Boutique Hotel? - 10-20-2008, 12:20 PM

My hubby and are headed to our second favorite texas town for a few days and i really want to stay at a swanky boutique hotel downtown. We usually stay on Lake Travis at the Lakeway Inn, but I want to be in the city this go around. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

If you want swanky, check out the Driskoll. Also haunted which is a cool bonus, lol.

As Mongo mentions, the Driskill is in an old historic building, with antiques to match. If you're more into modern minimalist chic, check out Hotel San Jose, just south of the river on Congress.

+ another 1 for the Hotel San Jose - minimalist cool and a fun neighborhood. The Driskoll is an old school classic. Also check out the Mansion on Judge's Hill (I think that's the name). Gosh, I miss having a son @ UT - gave us an excuse to get down there for weekends.
