Very nice colors and i love how smooth the water is with the reflection and everything. Gerat capture! Im waiting to get the sigma 10-20 before I take another trip up to Austin so I can photograph this spot again.

Thanks guys. Brandon - I have the Canon 10-20 that I used on my 20D and I loved it. I've heard the Sigma is good too.

This was shot at dusk. Probably somewhere around 6:45 PM.

Were you on the 2nd tier of the rock outcropping for this one?

Nice shot - I was out about the same time - 02-06-2009, 05:23 PM

Interesting how different photographers at the same place at the same time get different images.

Thanks again for the comments. Huck, I was on the top tier all the way back by the fence. There's a small ledge about 10 feet down the slope that's just big enough for a tripod. Bob - nice shot. :-)

Wonderful shot. As you said, a much photographed site but I have never been there....I've driven over the bridge many times but never stopped. What are the logistics? Did you park along southbound 360 just north of the bridge and walk up the trail or is there a better place to park? thanks

Gary - you've got it right. Just park in the gravel area off the side of the road. Make sure you bring a flashlight if you're doing night shots to help you get back down. The trail is very rough.
