Was his name Don?

When I had my motorcycle accident last year, I was flown by Starflight to Brack. I was awake enough to think, "Oh boy, a helicopter flight over Hill Country" (I was out by Enchanted Rock) and then the next thing I remember was waking up in ICU. Anyway, the pilot, the co-pilot and the nurse, all three were named Don. Great guys.

Great shots, btw.

No, but he mentioned some guy who had a motorcycle wreck that kept calling them all Don!! J/K I didn't catch his name. He said he wished there was more light for me and that at least I had the moon. I told him light would spoil the shot! I've also been on Starflight from a motorcycle accident. It was years ago, in a Bell Ranger.

How did you get up to the helipad? Do you have to work at the hospital or something? I've often wondered about trying to photograph the helicopters but don't know who to approach, and of course I don't want to cause offence to anyone injured.

I was reviewing my medical bills the other day and if you do have to take a trip on StarFlight, make sure you are covered by insurance. Thankfully, I was. My ride from the parking lot of Enchanted Rock to Brack cost $16,900.00.

Yeah, and I got the Travis County resident discount. It is a lot more for you "out of towner's".

You can walk right up to it at Brackenridge. Nobody said anything to me. The pilot was coming out to get something out of the helicopter or I probably wouldn't have seen anyone. It's fenced off, so as long as you don't cross the fence, you're okay.

Also at Seton main, the parking garage looks right over their helipad. My friend is a nurse there and said most of the helicopters come there during the daytime. I want to get a good shot of them taking off from there someday. It takes a lot of patience!
