Where to print photos and order frames - 02-12-2009, 07:53 AM

I want to print photos of approximate A2 size (16.5 x 23.4 in). However, some of the photos are wide (panorama). So I want to ask you if there's any store/persons in Austin where I can print my photos (the price should be lower than at Fedex Kinkos) and where I can order frames of arbitrary sizes?

Thanks a lot.

For printing you can go to Precision. They do a pretty good job and size isnt an issue. Not sure on teh frames though. You could try Hobby Lobby or Michael's. I know Michael's does custom framing but not sure on the prices.

Hobby Lobby, Jerry's Artarama and Ikea are the best places for frames. Like Drew stated, Precision does a pretty good job. However, for an pano prints, you might be better off with Holland Photo...they ROCK, but a little more expensive.

Namaste!

For printing - Holland Photo on south Lamar.
For a large selection of different size frames - Aaron Brothers
3 locations around Austin. It's the only place I can reliably get square frames in different sizes. And they have a 40% off sale going on right now. Most of the hobby stores only stock standard sizes.
