Duck Heaven!!!!

I am not a wildlife photographer but if you want an opportunity to shoot some ducks get over to Mills Pond in Wells Branch. Yesterday there were about 200 ducks of all types that have flown in, today there were about 100, and in a couple days they all may be gone.

The pond is small and you don't need a long lens a 70-200 should work fine.
Excellent opportunity without having to wake up at 4in the morning or wading waste deep in 40 degree water. I filled up a 2gb card at lunch today :) The hard part is keeping the dometic ducks out of your shot. Very easy to tell the difference though :)

i used to live a block away from this pond. wells branch is a nice community. defintely lots of ducks there. beware of snakes though!

I live right near there. I think I'll go by tomorrow and see if I can't snap a pic or two.

Thanks. Looks like it's only 2-3 miles from my place. I think I'll check it out tomorrow morning.
